Born in 1993, winner of the 2015 Premio Abbado and bronze medallist at the 2012 Premio Venezia, he maintains an intense concert career as a soloist and with orchestra, with a particular focus on chamber music, collaborating with ensembles ranging from duo to septet.
Since 2016 he has been pianist and founding member of the Quartetto Werther, one of the most promising Italian chamber ensembles on both the national and international concert scene, invited to prestigious festivals and concert associations including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Kammermusik Basel, the Societ\u00e0 dei Concerti di Milano, the Societ\u00e0 del Quartetto di Milano, Festival Musikdorf Ernen, Musica Insieme, the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Bologna Festival, Perugia Musica Classica, Festival dei Due Mondi, Amici della Musica di Firenze, Moscow International House of Music, Musik\u00e0mera, Societ\u00e0 dei Concerti di Trieste, Associazione \u201cMariani\u201d of Ravenna, Amici della Musica di Palermo, Societ\u00e0 dei Concerti di Parma, and the Ente Concerti Pesaro.
With the Quartetto Werther he has won the XXXIX Premio \u201cF. Abbiati \u2013 A. Farulli Prize\u201d 2020 as Best Young Ensemble of the Year, First Prize at the Brahms International Chamber Music Competition in Gda\u0144sk (Poland), Third Prize at the \u201cTrio di Trieste\u201d International Chamber Music Competition, and Third Prize at the Pinerolo International Chamber Music Competition.
The complete recording of the string quartets by Gabriel Faur\u00e9 in 2021 for Brilliant Classics marked the ensemble\u2019s debut recording. Elective Affinities, released in 2025 by Genuin and dedicated to the figure of Goethe, immediately received excellent critical acclaim and has been broadcast on numerous radio programmes in Switzerland (RSI) and Italy (RAI).
The Quartetto Werther also promotes the performance of contemporary Italian music, collaborating with composers such as Francesco Antonioni, Nicola Campogrande and Alessandro Solbiati, including world premiere performances.
Fiumara\u2019s pianistic training is rooted in the teaching of M.T. Carunchio, L. Zilberstein and Enrico Pace. He studied and deepened his study of chamber music repertoire with the Trio di Parma and Pierpaolo Maurizzi, and subsequently with Patrick J\u00fcdt and Johannes Meissl at the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA), of which the Quartetto Werther is currently an active ensemble.
In 2022 he obtained the diploma awarded by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in the class of Carlo Fabiano, with honours and a special mention \u201cfor exceptional chamber music skills\u201d, a recognition awarded for the first time since 1939 in the history of chamber music courses.
