He graduated in 1995 in Percussion Instruments with top marks from the Conservatoire of Perugia, under the guidance of Antonio Caggiano and Riccardo Balbinutti. He furthered his studies with David Friedman, Andrea Dulbecco, Mike Rosen, Mike Mainieri, Gert Mortenzen, Mike Quinn, Evelyn Glennie.
He collaborated for 15 years (1994\u20132009) with the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio of Turin and with the chamber ensembles of the same institution. During this period, he was conducted by Semyon Bychkov, Daniel Oren, Dietfried Bernet, Gianandrea Noseda, Riz Ortolani, Peter Maag, Hubert Soudant, Emil Tabakov, Yoram David, Gy\u00f6rgy Gy\u0151rivanyi Rath, Salvatore Accardo, David Angus, Sir Jeffrey Tate, Timothy Brock.
He has performed as a soloist with Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, Orchestra da Camera di Perugia and the Officina Musicale de L\u2019Aquila; he also collaborates with orchestras and instrumental ensembles such as the Citt\u00e0 Aperta Orchestra de L\u2019Aquila (specialised in film music production and live soundtracks for silent films), the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Stresa Ensemble, the Umbria Jazz Orchestra, the Officina Musicale de L\u2019Aquila, the Suono Giallo Ensemble, the Ludus Gravis Ensemble, GAMO.
He has taken part in live projects accompanying soloists such as Joe Chambers, Gregory Porter, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Wayne Shorter, Brian Blade, Danilo P\u00e9rez, John Patitucci, Vince Mendoza, Take 6, Noa, Pedrito Mart\u00ednez, Emanuel Harrold, John Clayton, Nathan East, Harvey Mason, Quincy Jones. He has collaborated in live and recording projects with artists such as Laura Marzadori, Antonio Anselmi, Nicola Piovani, Jonathan Williams, Alessandro Carbonare, Alessio Allegrini, Terry Riley, Philip Geist, Lorenzo Cherubini \u201cJovanotti\u201d, Diego Conti.
He has recorded and produced discographic projects for labels such as Tactus, Universal, Decca, Brilliant Classics, Quadrivium, Egea, Rara. He is a founding member of the quartet Tetraktis Percussion (1994). With Tetraktis he has given concerts throughout Italy, touring in Europe, Africa, North America and Asia, promoting the chamber repertoire for percussion with world premieres of works by Giovanni Sollima, Federico Gardella, Riccardo Panfili.
In October 2020, with Tetraktis, he won the MAECI competition with the video-concert Un fruscio lungo trent\u2019anni. Since 2003 he has worked in various musical theatre productions (Teatro Stabile of Turin, Grotowski Institute) with the permanent laboratory on the art of acting led by Domenico Castaldo (Labperm \u2013 Turin). He has created music-dance performances in major institutions (Centro di Produzione Nazionale CANGO of Virgilio Sieni, Centre de Developpement Choregraphique National, Festival di Polverigi, Biennale Danza di Venezia).
Since 2023 he has published his compositions and arrangements for the music publishing house Prendinota Editions. Since 2018 he has taught at various Italian Conservatoires. Since 2023 he has been Professor of Percussion Instruments at the Rossini Conservatoire in Pesaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
