A pianist who has performed in some of the world\u2019s most important concert halls, including the Gro\u00dfes Saal of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, the Gro\u00dfes Saal in Salzburg, the Smetana Hall in Prague, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Cairo Opera House, the Kharkiv Philharmonic, the Krak\u00f3w Philharmonic, the Festival of Palaces in St Petersburg, the Manoel Theatre in Malta, and the Liszt Academy in Budapest. He has performed throughout North and South America, Africa, Indonesia, South Korea and other countries, in recital and as a soloist with prestigious orchestras such as the Dohn\u00e1nyi Symphony and the Hungarian State Orchestra MAV in Budapest, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Serbian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra, I Solisti Veneti, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, I Solisti Aquilani, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ciudad de Elche Symphony Orchestra, the Bohuslav Martin\u016f Philharmonic Orchestra, the Saint Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, the Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Krak\u00f3w Philharmonic Orchestra. His discography comprises over 50 CDs for various labels (Sony Classical, Chandos, CPO, Da Vinci, etc.) and includes the first worldwide recordings of piano works by Leoncavallo, Puccini, Giordano, Mascagni, Bellini, Verdi, Persiani, Offenbach, as well as several recordings dedicated to Rossini, Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninov. He has collaborated in various chamber music formations with important artists and ensembles, including B. Canino, A. Ballista, the Quartetto della Scala, the Quartetto di Cremona, F. Manara, A. Meunier, C. Scimone, E. Zaniboni, F. Meloni, M. Larrieu, and U. Pagliai. For over twenty years he has shared the stage with Salvatore Barbatano in the piano duo Sollini \u2013 Barbatano, recognised by audiences and critics alike in many countries as \u201cthe twenty golden fingers of Italy\u201d. He has given masterclasses at the Arts Academy in Rome within the International Advanced Training School, at the State Conservatory of Lima, the Academy of Arts in Tirana, American colleges in Winston-Salem and Davidson, the Conservatory of Izmir, the Conservatory of Bogot\u00e1, and the Real Conservatorio Superior Reina Sof\u00eda in Madrid. He has served as a jury member in several piano competitions, including the International Piano Competition \u201cRoma\u201d, the Ars Kosova Music Competition in Pristina, the Aram Khachaturian International Competition in Yerevan, the Alexander Scriabin International Piano Prize in Grosseto, and the Cleveland International Youth Piano Competition, among others. He is President of the Marche Musica Association, which organises the concert series \u201cArmonie della sera\u201d, of which he has been founder and artistic director for over twenty years. The works composed by Marco Sollini are published by Da Vinci Publishing with international distribution by Hal Leonard. In 2001, at the Capitoline Hill (Campidoglio), he was awarded the \u201cMarchigiani dell\u2019anno 2001\u201d prize for his international artistic activity.
