For each course there are study plans (Course Catalogue) that specify which subjects you must attend, how many credits are required for each subject and which exams you must take. Every year, in addition to the compulsory subjects, you must choose one or more additional courses in order to reach at least 60 total credits. You can choose from the specific list of electives that is made available every year, according to the methods defined by the Student Administration Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Class Hours and Absences<\/strong><br>In each subject, to obtain credits or to be entitled to take the exam, you must attend a sufficient number of class hours and achieve at least 80% of the mandatory minimum attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Repetition of subjects and delayed graduation<\/strong><br>The lesson hours for each year must be completed by the end of the same academic year (usually mid-October). If, by that date, you have not attended the minimum number of hours required for a given subject, you will not be able to take the exam or you will not be able to obtain the related credits (if the exam is not included in your study plan). In this case, you will have to repeat the entire attendance of the subject the following year.<br>If at the end of the three years of the three-year period or the two years of the two-year period you have not obtained all the required credits, you will not be able to take the final exam (thesis). In this case, you will be able to re-enroll in the following academic years as a student beyond the normal duration of the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Exams<\/strong><br>There are three exam sessions: summer, autumn, winter. For each session, there are usually two exam dates which are organized within periods established by the Academic Council and published in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/academic-calendar\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/academic-calendar\/\">academic calendar<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To take an exam you must have attended the minimum number of lesson hours required by the subject (see above). You can also take an exam after the end of the relevant academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember that <strong>registration for exams is not automatic<\/strong>: you must go to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/registroelettronico.nettunopa.it\/ulogin.php\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/registroelettronico.nettunopa.it\/ulogin.php\">students\u2019 area<\/a><\/strong> of the website and register within the deadlines set out in the academic calendar.If you change your mind and want to cancel your exam booking, you must do so <strong>within 48 hours of the exam <\/strong>by sending an email to the Student Administration Office; if you do not do so, you must show up in person for the exam and withdraw, signing the exam report. If you do not show up for an exam you have booked, you will have to miss the next exam session before you can book again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Educational activities chosen by the student<\/strong><br>Each study plan includes a section called <strong>\u201celective educational activities\u201d<\/strong>, which corresponds to a specific number of CFA (academic credits) for each year of the course. In particular, first-cycle academic programmes (three-year programmes) generally include 6 CFA per academic year, while second-cycle academic programmes (two-year programmes) generally include 9 CFA per academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acquisition of these credits can occur in various ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. by attending the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/elective-courses\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/elective-courses\/\">electives<\/a> that the Conservatoire makes available to students every year, and by taking the related exams, where required;<br>2. by attending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/masterclass\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/masterclass\/\">masterclasses, workshops and seminars<\/a> that the Conservatoire organizes every year;<br>3. by participating in artistic productions organized by the Conservatoire (concerts, festivals, etc.);<br>4. by participating in activities organized by bodies other than the Conservatoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the activities specified in points 2), 3) and 4) it is necessary to submit a request for credit recognition at the end of the activity itself, according to the procedures established by the Regulation on Credit recognition (see below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Credit recognition<\/strong><br>In the academic programmes (three-year and two-year programmes), if for one or more subjects you<strong> <\/strong>already have equivalent Italian or foreign qualifications, or you have demonstrable<strong> <\/strong>experience of activities carried out outside the Conservatoire, you can ask for credit recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also ask for recognition for some types of activities carried out within the Conservatoire, but outside the study plans (for example participation in productions and public events, or collaboration in ensemble music classes, or other).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Credit recognition is assessed by the Course Councils on the basis of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">guidelines established by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Regolamento-Riconoscimento-Crediti-modifica-2025.pdf\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Regolamento-Riconoscimento-Crediti-modifica-2025.pdf\">Academic Council<\/a><\/strong>.To request it, you will have to fill out and forward to the <strong><a href=\"mailto:segreteria@conservatoriorossini.it\" type=\"mailto\" id=\"mailto:segreteria@conservatoriorossini.it\">Student Administration Office<\/a><\/strong> the form found on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/modulistica\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/modulistica\/\">forms page<\/a><\/strong>, always respecting the deadlines indicated in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/academic-calendar\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/academic-calendar\/\">academic calendar<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final exam<\/strong><br>In order to take the final exam, you must have obtained all the credits required by your study plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final exams take place in the same three sessions as the other exams, usually in July for the summer session, in December for the autumn session, and in March for the winter session. You can take the final exam within the winter session following the end of the academic year. If you want to postpone it again, you must re-enroll in the following academic year.For the final exam, it is necessary to apply using the form found on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/modulistica\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/modulistica\/\">forms page<\/a><\/strong> and send it by email to <strong><a href=\"mailto:segreteria@conservatoriorossini.it\">segreteria@conservatoriorossini.it<\/a><\/strong> respecting the deadlines set by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/academic-calendar\/\">academic calendar<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Original diploma parchment and Diploma supplement<\/strong><br>When you apply for the final exam, you will also request the original parchment of your diploma with the same form. As soon as it is ready, you will be contacted by the Student Administration Office who will explain how to collect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While waiting for the original parchment, you will receive in digital format the Diploma Supplement, which is a supplementary document issued together with the official qualification awarded at the end of a course of study at a university or higher education institution. The Diploma Supplement provides a description of the studies undertaken and completed in 8 points, in English and Italian, developed under the initiative of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Master\u2019s Programmes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Responding to the needs of the world of work and professions, the Rossini Conservatoire promotes advanced continuing education and professional development Master\u2019s Programmes that can be accessed after obtaining the first- and second-cycle academic programmes. At the end of the course of study, the titles of First- and Second-Level <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/offerta-formativa\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/offerta-formativa\/\">Master\u2019s Programmes<\/a><\/strong> are awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The courses, lasting one year (60 CFA), aim to train professionals specialized in the musical field and are entrusted to internal teachers and nationally and internationally renowned experts, as well as principal players of prestigious orchestras. Enrolment in the Masters requires passing an entrance exam and the access requirements for the first level Masters are a first- or second-cycle academic programme (or a previous system combined with a secondary school diploma), while for the second level Master\u2019s programme they are a second-level academic programme or a diploma from the previous system combined with a secondary school diploma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:62px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preparatory courses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their attendance guarantees the acquisition of the skills necessary to be able to access the first-cycle academic programme without academic deficiencies, after passing the relevant entrance exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access to the preparatory courses requires passing an entrance exam aimed at verifying the candidate\u2019s musical aptitude, who must demonstrate advanced technical preparation related to the chosen discipline, together with theoretical musical competence. The maximum duration of the courses is set at three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attendance is mandatory for 80% of the lessons of each discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instrumental Training Workshops<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/instrumental-training-workshops\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.conservatoriorossini.it\/en\/instrumental-training-workshops\/\">Workshops<\/a><\/strong> are aimed at basic musical and instrumental training and possibly admission to the preparatory courses. The maximum age for enrollment is under the age of 16 at the deadline for submitting applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access is through an aptitude test and the assignment of the instrument will be decided by the Conservatoire, based on available places. The Workshops last one year with the possibility of re-enrollment for up to a maximum of three years in total. The programme includes 50 hours per year, divided between 25 hours of instrumental lessons (individual) and 25 hours of theory lessons (group).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pre-academic courses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pre-academic courses are no longer active and new enrollments are no longer accepted. Pre-university training has been renewed with the activation of preparatory courses starting from the 2019\/20 academic year. Teachers are required to update attendance and actual hours of use.
