Last pupil of the Russian pianist Lazar Berman, Lorenzo Di Bella was awarded first prize and the gold medal at the \u201cHorowitz\u201d Piano Competition in Kyiv in 2005. In 2006, in recognition of his artistic achievements, he was presented with the Sinopoli Prize at the Quirinale by President Ciampi, in memory of the conductor Sinopoli, who passed away in 2001. In 1995 he won the Premio Venezia, the most important national competition, following which he gave recitals for major Italian concert societies. His performances have been highly successful at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, upon the personal invitation of Giancarlo Menotti, at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, at the Sala Verdi in Milan for the Societ\u00e0 dei Concerti and Serate Musicali, at the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, as well as in numerous international contexts (Montreal, S\u00e3o Paulo, Beijing, Shanghai) and in major European halls (ORF RadioKulturhaus and Muth Hall in Vienna, Haydn Hall in Eisenstadt, Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy in Budapest, Rudolfinum and Smetana Hall in Prague, the Philharmonic Hall and Opera House in Kyiv, Khachaturian Hall in Yerevan, Gnessin Hall and Scriabin Museum in Moscow). In 2013 he performed the complete \u00c9tudes-Tableaux by Rachmaninov in two concerts in Turin and Milan for the 7th edition of the MiTo Settembre Musica Festival. His concert activity has led him to collaborate with major orchestras (Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan, National Orchestra of Porto, Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, MAV Orchestra of Budapest, Th\u00fcringer Symphoniker, S\u00fcdwestdeutsche Philharmonie, OSUG of Guanajuato, North Czech Philharmonic, Moravian Philharmonic, Szolnok Hungarian Symphony, Philharmonisches Kammerorchester Berlin, etc.), under the conduction of distinguished conductors including James Conlon, Kirill Karabits, Eckart Preu, Oliver Weder, Vassylis Christopoulos, Reinhard Seehafer, Zbigniew M\u00fcller, Vladimir Sirenko, Michael Maciaszczyk, Hasan Niyazi-Tura, Fan Ting, David Crescenzi, Francesco Lanzillotta, Luigi Piovano and Massimiliano Caldi. In February 2022 he performed with the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna as part of the \u201cMusik der Meister\u201d series. For his artistic activity he was awarded on the Capitoline Hill the \u201cPicus del Ver Sacrum\u201d together with actor Max Giusti and director Pier Luigi Pizzi, as \u201cMarchigiano dell\u2019Anno 2006\u201d, a recognition established by CESMA in Rome.Trained with B. Bizzarri, F. Scala, L. Berman and S. Perticaroli, initially at the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro and subsequently at the Accademia \u201cIncontri col Maestro\u201d in Imola and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, he is also very active in teaching. He has held courses and masterclasses for important Italian and international musical institutions, including the Gnessin Institute of Moscow, the Accademia Pianistica of Imola, the Shanghai Conservatory, the \u201cVladigerov\u201d National Academy of Sofia and the University of Gy\u0151r. He is currently Professor of Piano at the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro.
