Fabrizio Fava studied oboe at the Rossini Conservatoire in Pesaro, graduating with top marks in 1989. He continued his advanced studies with Pietro Borgonovo and Paolo Pollastri, with whom he also began studying the Baroque oboe.
As principal oboe, he has collaborated with some of Italy\u2019s most prestigious orchestras, including the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Turin, the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Orchestra of the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese, and the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Since 1987 he has also performed with the FORM \u2013 Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, becoming its permanent principal oboe in 1994.
He has an extensive solo career, performing both oboe and cor anglais repertoire ranging from the Baroque period to Richard Strauss\u2019s Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra. In recent years, he has devoted himself to the study of the Baroque and classical oboe under the guidance of Alfredo Bernardini and Priska Comploi.
Winner of the national competition for teaching posts in Italian State Conservatoires, he is Professor of Oboe at the Rossini Conservatoire in Pesaro.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
