Miranda Aureli was born in Bologna and studied music at the conservatoires of Vicenza and Bologna, graduating in Piano, Organ and Harpsichord under the guidance of Valeria Cantoni, Antonio Cozza and Annaberta Conti respectively. She further specialised in organ and harpsichord with Liuwe Tamminga at the \u201cJacopo da Bologna\u201d early music school and attended the two-year course on Bach\u2019s works held in Cremona by Michael Radulescu, in addition to participating in numerous seminars on organ and harpsichord performance practice. She devoted herself to the study of basso continuo, following the practices described in historical treatises and attending courses in Italy led by Jesper B\u00f8je Christensen.As a continuo player on harpsichord and organ, she performs with renowned early music ensembles such as Cappella Artemisia (seventeenth- and eighteenth-century vocal and choral repertoire), with which she has toured extensively throughout Europe, the United States and Canada, and with which she was invited in 2025 to give masterclasses and concerts at the University of Oregon in Eugene; the Orchestra Barocca di Bologna, directed by Paolo Faldi, of which she is a founding member (Baroque instrumental repertoire); and the ensembles \u201cLa Flora\u201d (seventeenth- and eighteenth-century vocal repertoire) and \u201cOberon\u201d (Baroque chamber repertoire). With these groups she has made several recordings for Tactus, Bongiovanni and Brilliant.She has performed for major early music institutions and festivals, including the Festival of Flanders in Bruges, Regensburg, Halle in Tyrol, Radovljica, Bologna Festival, Canto delle Pietre, the International Baroque Music Festival of Bre\u017eice, Oude Muziek Utrecht and the Early Music Society, as well as for radio broadcasters such as Radio 3, Radio France, RD and ORF.She collaborates with Artemisia Editions in the preparation of basso continuo realisations for published vocal repertoire, currently comprising around thirty titles.Formerly Professor of Harpsichord at the conservatoires of Trento, Verona and Venice, since the 2019\/2020 academic year she has taught Harpsichord and Historical Keyboard Instruments at the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro and serves as Artistic Director of the international harpsichord competition \u201cGianni Gambi\u201d, organised and supported by the Rossini Conservatoire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
