Riccardo Lorenzetti was born in Osimo (Ancona) in 1970. He graduated in Piano and Choral Music from the Morlacchi Conservatoire of Perugia, and in Organ, Harpsichord and Composition from the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro, later attending postgraduate courses with Ton Koopman, Gustav Leonhardt, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Stephen Woodbury, Piergiorgio Righele and Vincenzo Torre. As a conductor, harpsichordist and organist he has collaborated with numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles and choirs, including Pro Arte Orchestra, Mannheimer Ensemble, Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini, F.O.R.M. \u2013 Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, O.G.C. \u2013 Orchestra Giovanile di Castelfidardo, Chitarmon\u00eca, Gaudio antico, Spirti Beati, and the Collegium vocale et instrumentale \u201cCrypta Canonicorum\u201d. In the field of Baroque music, he maintains an intense international concert activity with the Accademia dei Filarmonici, the Accademia \u00c9rard and I Servi di Maria. Since 1985 he has been organist at Osimo Cathedral and since 1991 he has been conductor of Coro Borroni, with which he has performed numerous concerts and recorded the *Requiem Mass in C minor* by Alessandro Borroni, performing it in its world premiere performance. In 1993, due to his strong interest in Renaissance music, he founded and directed the vocal group \u201cSpirti Beati\u201d, also performing as a tenor and releasing numerous CDs. He has also sung as a tenor soloist in the Gregorian Choir of the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro and in the Collegium Vocale \u201cCrypta Canonicorum\u201d. Together with guitarist Matilde Oppizzi he founded the Chordis Duo, which, thanks to numerous concerts, has become a reference ensemble for modern and contemporary music for guitar and harpsichord; the duo is currently working on the complete recording of all works written for this original chamber formation. He is also an active and prolific composer with a wide output spanning multiple genres and musical styles, including the oratorio *Il ritorno di Paolo \u2013 primo missionario cristiano*, the musical *Ho sognato di volare*, the rock opera *Il gabbiano Jonathan Livingston*, as well as masses, motets, orchestral works, chamber music, solo works, arrangements and transcriptions. He currently teaches Choral Practice at the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro, Organ and Composition at the Civic Music School of Osimo, and Voice and Renaissance and Baroque Interpretation at the International Academy of Lyric Art of Osimo.
