He graduated in Music History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Rome \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d, presenting a thesis on the theatrical trajectory of the composer Giacomo Manzoni.<br>From 1979 to 1984 he worked for RCA as a composer, arranger and recording studio producer. His compositions have been published by RCA, Penta Flowers, Edizioni Musicali Agenda (Bologna), Rai Cinema and RTI Mediaset Publishing. He is the author of stage music for theatre and film: <em>Transsib\u00e8 Rien Mobile<\/em>, a theatrical work by G. Evangelisti based on A.P. Chekhov and V. Mayakovsky, and <em>Suheiro<\/em> (2005), a feature film for Rai Cinema. His compositional catalogue includes a wide production of chamber music, recorded on CD for RCA, Fonit Cetra, Penta Flowers and Rainbow Classics.<br>Other works have been performed in the international season \u201cRoma Europa\u201d in 1992, in 2002 within \u201cContemporara \u2013 I Forum di Musica Contemporanea\u201d, and in the concert seasons of the Teatro degli Industri in Grosseto and the Teatro Vaccaj in Tolentino. Commissioned by the Orchestra Sinfonica \u201cCitt\u00e0 di Grosseto\u201d in 2003, he composed <em>Ian\u2019s Shriek<\/em> for saxophone and orchestra, dedicated to Jan Palach, which was performed again in 2017 with the FORM \u2013 Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana.<br>Since 2001 he has been Artistic Director of the Associazione Corale Culturale Filippo Marchetti in Camerino, with which he has carried out intense activity, promoting cultural and artistic initiatives aimed at the recovery of lesser-known composers from the Marche region. Author of several writings on music, he is the creator of the projects \u201cTesori Musicali Marchigiani\u201d and \u201cMarchetti Ricostruito\u201d, whose activities have been reviewed by specialist music journals <em>L\u2019Opera<\/em>, <em>Amadeus<\/em>, <em>Suonare News<\/em> and <em>L\u2019Opera International<\/em>.<br>He has reconstructed and revised the four-act opera <em>Romeo e Giulietta<\/em> by Filippo Marchetti for BMG Ricordi editions, and the two-act drama <em>Piramo e Tisbe<\/em> by Venanzio Rauzzini. He was a member of the jury of the International Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k Composition Competition at the Prague Conservatoire from 2017 to 2023. Since 2017 he has been Artistic Director of the National Composition Competition \u201cPoesia in Musica: verso l\u2019Assoluto di Mauro Crocetta\u201d held in Ascoli Piceno. In 2024 he was elected member of the executive board of SIMC (Italian Society for Contemporary Music), founded 100 years ago by Alfredo Casella.
