He followed numerous advanced courses in Italy and abroad with distinguished masters (Dervaux, Galliera, De Bernart, Bodmer, Bellugi, Franco Ferrara). He completed his training with Leonard Bernstein at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. Awarded in prestigious international competitions (Besan\u00e7on 1986; Sanremo 1989), he was the winner of the first \u201cYoung Conductors\u2019 Selection\u201d in 1989, organised in Florence by the Orchestra Regionale della Toscana. He has worked as an orchestral conductor in Italy and abroad, leading numerous renowned Italian and international orchestras. His repertoire includes the most representative works of the great symphonic composers, from the Baroque period to the present day. He has also conducted world premieres of contemporary music. In the operatic field he has conducted *Orfeo ed Euridice*, *Il Signor Bruschino*, *Caterina di Guisa*, *Tosca*, *Dido and Aeneas*, *Cos\u00ec fan tutte*, *Otello* and *Il barbiere di Siviglia*.
