Holding a diploma in Piano, she graduated from the University of Bologna with a dissertation published by Olschki (Giovan Ferretti tra canzonetta e madrigale, 1989); she obtained an advanced diploma and a PhD in Musicology. From her doctoral thesis on minor poetic-musical repertoires of the sixteenth century, four extensive essays were extracted and published in a volume by LIM in 1997 (La canzonetta dal 1570 al 1615, International Prize \u201cLatina\u201d for Musical Studies 1992). She carried out post-doctoral research collaborating on the \u2018Repim\u2019 project: Repertoire of Italian Poetry Set to Music, 1500\u20131700. Her musicological interests concern sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Italy: in addition to the aforementioned works, she has published essays in journals (La trasmissione dei testi poetici per canzonetta negli ultimi decenni del secolo XVI, \u00abRivista Italiana di Musicologia\u00bb, XXVI, 1991, no. 2) and in conference proceedings (Le villanelle di Marenzio e il repertorio leggero di fine Cinquecento, in Proceedings of the Conference \u201cLuca Marenzio nel Rinascimento italiano ed europeo\u201d, edited by I. Fenlon and F. Piperno, Venice, Fondazione Levi, 2003), as well as critical editions (Bartolomeo Barbarino da Fabriano detto il Pesarino. She has also worked on secondary education (Musica, storia, cultura ed educazione. Riflessioni e proposte per la scuola secondaria superiore, edited by C. Assenza and B. She entered the AFAM system following a competitive examination as a music librarian; her publications in the bibliographic field concern both Sardinian sources (Intorno a Ennio Porrino: (re)visioni del patrimonio tradizionale nelle Celebrazioni sarde del 1937, \u00abRivista Italiana di Musicologia\u00bb, 51\/2016) and the Marche context (Rossini, Pedrotti e Bodojra: nuove ricognizioni sui fondi della Biblioteca del Conservatorio di Pesaro, in Biblioteca di musica.
