Luca Aretini began his musical studies at the age of six and obtained a diploma in Violin from the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro, an institution he represented at the 12th National Conservatoires Festival in Pisa, reserved for the most distinguished students. Selected by Maestro Franco Gulli to attend the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, he obtained a diploma of merit. He subsequently studied with Vadim Brodsky, winner and sole gold medallist of the Wieniawski Competition in Poland, of whom he later became teaching assistant in masterclasses. He has recorded as a soloist for Rai 1, Rai 3, Moldovan Radio and Lithuanian Radio and Television, and has made recordings for the Bongiovanni label. As concertmaster, he has collaborated with various chamber and symphonic ensembles including I Solisti del Gonfalone in Rome, the Nova Philharmonia Ensemble of Rome, the Teatro dell\u2019Opera of Rome, the Arena di Verona and I Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan, performing at Teatro alla Scala, the Rossini Opera Festival and with the FORM \u2013 Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, under the conduction of C.M. Giulini, D. Oren, G. Kuhn, A. Zedda, G. Gelmetti, D. Renzetti, M. de Bernart, G. Taverna, E. Morricone, A. Trovajoli and others. Since 1979 he has been Professor of Violin at the Rossini Conservatoire of Pesaro, where he has trained many concert artists and principal players of prestigious orchestras.
