Enrico Dorigatti, PhD, is a sound artist, composer and creative technologist. His artistic practice focuses on electroacoustic composition, multimedia art and installation-based sound art employing interactive and generative systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a longstanding interest in music and a background in computer science as a specialised technician, he combined these fields by graduating in Electronic Music from the Bonporti Conservatoire. His final projects focused respectively on the design and implementation of a real-time audio synthesis library for Unity (BA, 2019) and on a practice-based investigation of his own electroacoustic compositional practice (MA, 2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Awarded a research scholarship, he completed a PhD in Creative Technologies in 2025 at the University of Portsmouth (UK), School of Film, Media, and Creative Technologies. His doctoral thesis, centred on the study of creative processes shared between an author and external agents, with particular reference to generative and interactive sound art, enabled him to further explore and integrate his technical expertise with his artistic interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this period, he also worked as an Academic Demonstrator and Assistant Researcher. He has taught programming in technical industrial schools and Multimedia Studies at the conservatoires of Piacenza and Bari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Specialising in immersive audio production and composition (Dolby Atmos and Ambisonics), since 2024 he has served as Co-Organiser and Co-Chair of the academic conference SAG \u2013 Spatial Audio Gathering. His scientific research and artistic work have been presented internationally at conferences and festivals including ICMC, SMC, AVI, DAFx, NIME, ICAD, ISMIR, SOUND\/IMAGE, CMMR, CIM, NYCEMF, ACMC, LAC, Ars Electronica, Sonorities and ICFPFARM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of the hyperobject:: <\/em>trilogy, the second chapter was a finalist in the MAPSION International Videomapping Competition (FIN, 2023), while the third chapter was awarded joint first prize at the CLONE Videomapping Festival (ITA, 2024).
