Second Cycle Academic Programmes (Master Level, EQF Level: 7)*
The Master’s Programme constitutes the second cycle of academic studies within the Higher Artistic and Musical Education system. Upon completion of the programme, students are awarded the Second-Cycle Academic Diploma, a qualification equivalent to an Italian Master’s degree for the purposes of public competitions and further academic study (postgraduate academic diploma programmes, second-level Master’s programmes, and doctoral research programmes). It is also a necessary prerequisite for inclusion in the teaching rankings for public schools. Admission to the Master’s Programme requires possession of a First-Cycle Academic Diploma (Bachelor’s Programme) or an equivalent qualification, or a Conservatoire Diploma awarded under the system preceding Law 508/99, provided that it is combined with a secondary school diploma. Entry to the programme is subject to passing an entrance examination. The entrance examination programmes and study plans are available in the pages dedicated to each course. As with university Master’s degree programmes, the course requires the acquisition of 120 academic credits. The Master’s Programme offers opportunities for internships and external placements aimed at professional development, participation in the international Erasmus+ programme, and access to the benefits and services provided under Italian regulations concerning the right to higher education.
