First Cycle Academic Programmes (Bachelor Level, EQF Level: 6)*
The Bachelor’s Programme constitutes the first cycle of academic studies within the Higher Artistic and Musical Education system. The qualification awarded at the end of the course – the First-Cycle Academic Diploma – is equivalent to an Italian university Bachelor’s degree for the purposes of public competitions and further academic study (second-level academic programmes, Master’s degrees, postgraduate programmes), and provides a curriculum aligned with European standards in musical education. Admission to the programme is subject to an entrance examination designed to assess whether applicants possess the musical competencies required to achieve the technical and academic standards established by the study plan. The entrance examination programmes and study plans are available in the pages dedicated to each course. As with university Bachelor’s degree programmes, the course requires the acquisition of 180 academic credits. Students demonstrating outstanding ability and aptitude may also be admitted to the Bachelor’s Programme even if they have not yet obtained a secondary school diploma; however, this qualification must be obtained before the award of the Academic Diploma. The Bachelor’s Programme offers opportunities for internships and external placements, participation in the international Erasmus+ programme, and access to the benefits and services provided under Italian regulations concerning the right to higher education.
