Educational goals

Al termine degli studi relativi al Diploma Accademico di secondo livello in Musica elettronica, gli studenti devono aver acquisito competenze tecniche e culturali specifiche tali da consentire loro di realizzare concretamente la propria idea artistica. A tal fine sarà dato particolare rilievo allo studio del repertorio musicale elettroacustico, storico e contemporaneo, e all’approfondimento delle metodologie analitiche proprie, compresa la storia delle tecnologie elettroacustiche ed informatiche applicate alla musica. Tali obiettivi dovranno essere raggiunti anche favorendo lo sviluppo della capacità percettiva dell’udito e di memorizzazione, in particolare nell’ambito dei materiali sonori propri del repertorio musicale elettroacustico.
Al termine del Biennio gli studenti devono aver acquisito una conoscenza approfondita degli-aspetti stilistici, storici ed estetici generali e relativi allo specifico ambito. Inoltre, con riferimento alla specificità del corso, lo studente deve possedere adeguate competenze concernenti l’uso delle strumentazioni elettroacustiche ed informatiche nonché capacità progettuali riferite alle istallazioni dedicate all’esecuzione del repertorio specifico. È obiettivo formativo del corso anche l’acquisizione di adeguate competenze relative ad una seconda lingua comunitaria.

The skills developed in the chosen course of education enable students to gain access to the world of work on the basis of an education in line with European standards, offering employment prospects in various fields such as:
– Composer in the new media field
– Sound designer
– Music consultant in various contexts
– Employee at recording companies and music publishers
– Teacher
– Employee and organizer in the music context

Entrance Examination Program

1. Presentation, listening and disputation over an original electroacoustic composition by the candidate including signed information materials (project notes, schemes, synthesis algorithm etc.) and related executive and/or listening score. (*)
2. Technical-musical written examination about bachelor degree subjects (electroacoustic, music IT and DSP, acoustic/psychoacoustic; topics concerning language, analysis and style of electroacoustic and computer music).
3. English language examination about a topic related to the study plan and chosen by the commission.

(*) The composition should be available on a stereo or multichannel digital format (in the latter case already rendered). Live perfomance compositions should be presented on a recording format too.
