Miranda Aureli

Miranda Aureli was born in Bologna. She studied music at the conservatories Vicenza and Bologna, earning diplomas in piano, organ and harpsichord, under the guidance of Valeria Cantoni, Antonio Cozza and Annaberta Conti, respectively. She has attended numerous master classes on organ and harpsichord interpretation, focusing above all on the keyboard repertoires of the 17th and 18th centuries. She is particularly dedicated to the study of basso continuo, following the indications for performance practice as laid down in historical treatises, and she has attended master classes held in Italy by Jesper Boje Christensen.
She is a member of the “Orchestra Barocca di Bologna” directed by paolo Faldi (with recordings on the Tactus label. She performs with numerous chamber ensembles including “Cappella Artemisia” (recordings on the Tactus and Brillant label) and “La Flora”(recordings for Bongiovanni and Tactus), as well as appearing as soloist on both the organ and the harpsichord.
She is the editor of the basso continuo for the publications of “Artemisia Editions”.
In addition to her concert performances, she is also active as harpsichord teacher at the Rossini Conservatory of Pesaro.
She currently holds the position of organist and choir director at the church of Monte Donato in Bologna .
