9th International Bassoon Competition 2023

Conservatorio Rossini organizes the 8th edition of the Gioachino Rossini International Bassoon Competition. The competition is held every two years and it’s open to bassoonist of all nationalities. In the previous edition the Jury was composed by some of the main Italian and European bassoon players.

The auditions will be held from the 5^th to the 7^th October 2023 at the Rossini State Music Conservatoire in Pesaro, Italy. On 8^th October 2023 the first prize winner will perform in the Award Ceremony Concert.

The winner, besides a cash prize, will have the chance to perform as soloist alongside the Orchestra del Conservatorio Rossini and the FORM-Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana. 

Deadline for application is 16th September 2023.

• Carlo Colombo first bassoon soloist of the Orchestre Opéra de Lyon
• Giorgio Mandolesi first bassoon soloist of the Orchestre National de France
• Andrea Zucco first bassoon soloist of the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia
